is a Personal Video Recorder and Digital Satellite Receiver
with 2Common Interface Slots.As a PVR, CI-8100PVR utilizes
the loaded software functions with hard disk drive. This
allows for assorted trick play, diverse formats of recording,
and recorded services playback, all through time shift
recording function.
As a digital satellite receiver, it can receive encrypted
services via common interface module, as well as FTA
broadcasts. Viewers can now enjoy both outstanding stability
and comfort in this affordable satellite receiver loaded with
the very best technology HUMAX can offer. The simple
installation and operation, user-friendly three-dimensional
OSD, highest quality audio output with Dolby Digital Audio,
and advanced video clarity made for TV and VCR are all

In addition to providing more channels with the new highly
sensitive tuner, CI-8100PVR boasts the Electronic Program
Guide (EPG) and information plate that enable subtitles and
teletext for a bounty of useful information on programs and
broadcast signals.
Software upgrade notices are posted periodically on the
Internet homepage, and new versions can be updated through
automatic software upgrade service (OTA) via satellite or
through software download service on HCSA (HUMAX Customer
Service Area) via the built-in serial interface (RS - 232C).
